Artist Statement
Human life is essential to freedom. Everyone understands freedom in his own way. For some it is the realization of their inner potential in the world. Or an attempt to understand who you are and why you come to this Earth.
I want to use the language of sculpture to try to answer these questions for myself , art for me is the language in which I can communicate with people from all over world.
I do not seek to copy a visual object. I try to express it with a symbolic concentration of thoughts through a sculptural form.
Each material in sculpture has its own language and expressiveness. Like bronze, wood or stone. I am interested in the contrast of forms, lines, and features of the material from which the sculpture is made.
And in the process of working on the concept a balance arises between abstract and realistic form, where in the end my abstract- surrealistic vision sometimes wins.
I sketch my ideas on paper and sometimes in a small model in clay. Then finish the idea in a working model if I need to make a large size in clay. Then I work with specialists to make a mold and create casting in bronze or different materials. After casting I finish and sign it, numbering the limited editions each sculpture and make a patina. I work with materials like bronze, stone, wood, hydrocal, resin, aqua resin and cement.
When I work in wood or stone this process is manual. And it becomes one of a kind sculpture.
The time it takes to make sculpture for finish can be several month to many months.
Art is my whole life, it is what I am most passionate about in this, what I am eager to talk about to share with people.
